3. Fees and Payment Terms

All course fees must be paid according to the payment schedule provided during enrollment.

3.1 Fee Structure

  • Course fees are as published in our official fee structure
  • Additional charges may apply for practical training, materials, and certification
  • Hostel and accommodation charges are separate from course fees
  • Laboratory and equipment usage fees may be applicable

3.2 Payment Schedule

  • Fees can be paid in installments as per the agreed schedule
  • First installment is due at the time of admission
  • Subsequent payments must be made by specified due dates
  • Late payment charges may be levied for overdue amounts

3.3 Refund Policy

  • Refunds are processed as per our published refund policy
  • Processing fees and administrative charges are non-refundable
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing with proper justification
  • Refund processing may take 15-30 business days

4. Academic Policies

Students must adhere to academic standards and policies to maintain enrollment status.

4.1 Attendance Requirements

  • Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory for all courses
  • Practical sessions and laboratory work require 90% attendance
  • Students with insufficient attendance may be debarred from examinations
  • Medical leave requires proper documentation from registered medical practitioners

4.2 Assessment and Examinations

  • Students must appear for all scheduled assessments and examinations
  • Make-up examinations are allowed only in exceptional circumstances
  • Academic dishonesty, including plagiarism, will result in disciplinary action
  • Minimum passing grades must be achieved in all subjects

4.3 Course Completion

  • Students must complete all course requirements within the stipulated timeframe
  • Project work and internships are mandatory where specified
  • Certificates are issued only upon successful completion of all requirements
  • Extensions may be granted in exceptional cases with prior approval

5. Student Code of Conduct

All students are expected to maintain professional behavior and adhere to our code of conduct.

  • Treat faculty, staff, and fellow students with respect and courtesy
  • Maintain professional demeanor during classes and practical sessions
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
  • Use institute property and resources responsibly

5.2 Prohibited Activities

  • Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind
  • Use of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances on campus
  • Unauthorized access to institute systems or information
  • Activities that disrupt the academic environment

5.3 Disciplinary Actions

  • Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or termination
  • Serious misconduct may lead to immediate dismissal
  • Students have the right to appeal disciplinary decisions
  • Legal action may be taken for criminal activities

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All course materials, content, and resources provided by IIFS are protected by intellectual property laws.

6.1 Course Materials

  • All textbooks, handouts, and digital content remain property of IIFS
  • Students may use materials for personal study purposes only
  • Reproduction or distribution of materials without permission is prohibited
  • Online course content access is limited to enrolled students

6.2 Student Work

  • Students retain ownership of their original work and assignments
  • IIFS may use student projects for educational and promotional purposes
  • Permission will be sought for external publication or commercial use
  • Collaborative work ownership is shared as per project agreements

7. Limitation of Liability

IIFS strives to provide quality education but cannot guarantee specific outcomes or employment.

7.1 Educational Services

  • IIFS provides education based on current industry standards and practices
  • Course content may be updated to reflect industry changes
  • Individual learning outcomes may vary based on student effort and aptitude
  • IIFS is not responsible for changes in industry requirements post-graduation

7.2 Placement Assistance

  • Placement assistance is provided but employment is not guaranteed
  • Job market conditions and individual qualifications affect placement outcomes
  • Students are responsible for actively participating in placement activities
  • IIFS facilitates connections but cannot control employer decisions

7.3 Technical Issues

  • IIFS is not liable for technical issues affecting online learning
  • Reasonable efforts are made to maintain system availability
  • Students should have backup plans for technology-related disruptions
  • Compensation is limited to service restoration, not consequential damages

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Student privacy and data protection are governed by our Privacy Policy in addition to these terms.

By enrolling in IIFS Safety Institute courses or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and IIFS Safety Institute.

Effective Date: These Terms and Conditions are effective as of January 1, 2024, and supersede all previous versions.
